The crest is that of Baron Monson of Burton Hall in the county of Lincolnshire. There is an inscription dated 1869 to one side from Lord & Lady Monson to the Honourable and Reverend Evelyn Monson. Lord Monson was William John Monson (1829 1898) and he was later known as 1st Viscount Oxenbridge. He was also a Member of Parliament. Of tapering cylindrical form with a skirted base and an ebonised
