Nikka 'Myagiko' Limited Edition PeatedEstablished in 1934, founder Masataka Taketsuru produced the first Whiskey from his Yoichi Distillery; aptly named "Nikka Whiskey" as a short form of the company's name, Dai Nippon Kaju Co. The corporate name was later altered to The Nikka Whiskey Distilling Co. in 1952. The first Coffey still was imported from Scotland in 1963 and Nikka Whiskey has been producing top of the line and iconic Japanese Whiskey ever since.
