Edwardian Clover Halo PendantCharming antique halo pendant featuring a clover. The three leaves are set with blister pearls, with gold stem and vivid ruby centre. Built in 9ct gold, it dates from the Edwardian era circa 1910. The clover, or trefoil, is a member of the pea family and it's rare four leaf mutation has come to be associated with good luck. Yet rarer are five and six leaf examples also exist, and the record (as per Guinness) is a remarkable 56 which beat the previous

suggesting it was made early in the war before these nations joined

The first task in the production process was to take out all the background of the coin

serpent split ring with the bezel-set diamond and rubies having been added during the early 20th century
