True Christmas Island Flame Angel (3")Centropyge loriculus The Flame Angel is a stunning dwarf Angel that is bright red in color with black vertical bands on each side of its body. Specimins from Christmas Island are particulary sought after, and thus, are the only kind we sell. They are a little more expensive, but are, in our opinion, worth it. This fish is undoubtedly the most popular and well known of all dwarf Angels. These fish do very well in aquariums and prefer lots of rockwork

Tail coloration on this great fish varies from a vivid yellow to a deep purple

due to their specific care requirements

It may also have blues

it should be one of the last fish added to the tank

Not safe with inverts

this species is often reluctant to feed in the aquarium

and they usually behave themselves

It stretches its tentacles to become sweeper tentacles when hungry

and pair off easily

making it both difficult to acquire and a prized fish in the hobby

but will usually ignore other fish
