Antique Japanese National 2600th Anniversary Founding 1940 Lacquer TrayThis is an antique Japanese lacquer tray, decorated with a couple phoenixes, and two banners, one of which says "Banzai". The words on the tray are "2600th Anniversary Commemoration" and "Sachiko Birth Commemoration". This is probably a family celebrating the birth of their daughter while also celebrating the national foundation 2600th Anniversary, which happened in 1940 at the height of Japanese power. I presume Shima is the place of the star

I can't tell if the paper bag is supposed to open on two sides (left and top) or if it's been torn
