Vintage 1930's Marcasite Drop EarringsVintage 1930's round drop earrings featuring marcasite stones set in a silver tone metal. Marcasite is actually Pyrite all known as Fools Gold. It was used in jewellery due to it's ability to catch the light, giving a diamond effect. The marcasite discs hang from new sterling silver earring hooks. MEASUREMENTS The earrings measure 2. 7cm 1" in drop and 1. 2cm 0. 5" in diameter. CONDITION The earrings are in excellent vintage condition.
