The exceptionally rich, even lavish, flavors lack a bit of energy though I wouldnt describe them as flat. Even so, when coupled with the evident backend warmth, this is a bit too much for my taste.

In this very warm vintage the winemaking team opted to block most of the malolactic fermentation (70%) to preserve freshness

This plays right on the edge of volatile acidity with its nose of poached plum

An even more broad-ranging nose features notes of exotic tea

resonant finish

Medium-bodied but intense and fine

it still begs for cellaring for at least five years
