I gave the plant this name because the leaves remind me of ships going to warp on sci-fi shows

Fortunately this species has only a few glochids (the little spines all Opuntia have) and can generally be handled without getting them stuck in your fingers

This cactus is more tropical than most so it likes a bit more moisture than an normal succulent and should be kept above 50 degrees in winter
