Camille Giroud, ChambertinA serious, backward and brooding nose reluctantly gives up hints of very earthy dark pinot fruit nuanced by a distinct animale hint that merges into broad shouldered flavors that offer excellent volume and concentration that finishes with just a hint of dryness and plenty of minerality. The dryness should round out in time as there is no associated sense of astringency. (91 93) 2016+

and it's one of the more intense wines I tasted within this selection

hints of blood orange and white pepper on the aftertaste

it will require at least a decade in bottle

The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins

A brooding and backward nose is presently revealing little save for glimpses of red and blue berry fruit aromas though the rich

game and a pretty floral nuance
