Edwardian Octopus Signet RingStriking antique signet ring with intaglio carving of an octopus. The oval bloodstone panel black with vivid red flecks of colour is mounted in an 18 carat gold signet ring with London hallmarks dating it to the year 1919. We've had the panel carved by our engraver, using hand tools and traditional techniques passed down generations of glyptic artists. It can be worn simply for show, or the intaglio can be impressed into wax to create a seal. Era:
