DimetridazoleDimetridazole is a nitroimidazole antibiotic useful against protozoa and bacteria. It has shown great efficacy against Campylobacter species. Dimetridazole has been useful in studying nitroimidazole mechanisms and is slightly soluble. Dimetridazole is thought to inhibit nucleic acid synthesis, ultimately halting cell growth.
