On the nose, it offers up cool, minty aromas, with some cassis and black cherries. It's reminiscent of the winery's Caldwell Vineyard bottling on the nose, but it's full bodied and rich on the palate, generous, concentrated and long, with hints
humus and very fresh assortment of dark berry fruit scents
Conterno-Fantino's 1999 Barolo Sorì Ginestra is quite a bit richer and deeper than the Vigna del Gris
