Giovanni Rosso, Barolo SerraRossos 2006 Barolo La Serra shows more density and freshness than the Serralunga, along with high toned flowers, spices, mint and berries that flow from its focused, mid weight frame. Firm, chewy tannins round out this strong effort from proprietor Davide Rosso. Anticipated maturity, 2014 2026. This is a beautiful set of 2006 Baroli from Davide Rosso, a young grower who continues to demonstrate significant promise.

This is evolving glacially and certainly much slower than I originally foresaw but it should be a stunner of a Clos de Vougeot when it finally reaches its peak

but I must say that Theresa Breuer and her team have very lately been on a roll
