Antique Regency Mourning ring, Vauxhall glass, 15ct goldA bittersweet and beautiful Regency era mourning ring. The ring has a rounded rectangular face with a domed crystal panel enclosing hair beneath the panel. Surrounding this is a halo of Vauxhall glass stones in rich inky black that lead down to the bifurcated openwork shoulders and fine band. It is crafted in yellow gold and is engraved to the reverse of the face; R S Piper, Died 7th July 1816, aged 10 years 10 months. A beautifully designed piece,
