Austrostipa ramosissimaThis plant is currently unavailable. Known as Pillar of Smoke or Australian Plume Grass. We have grown this native grass in our stock beds for the past three years. It is one of the earliest of our ornamental grasses to flower in Spring. Makes a dense mass of finely textured plumes giving the appearance of smoke. It is reported that if planted in moist well drained soil this grass will grow up to 2 metres tall. We have found it to not reach much above

10m high if left unpruned
