RARE ANTIQUE WILLCOX & GIBBS HAT MAKING SEWING MACHINE IN ORIGINAL CONDITIONAn original Wilcox & Gibbs antique chain stitch machine for sewing bands inside of hats. The stitch has a looper therefore no bobbin is necessary. The machine is over 100 years old and makes the nicest chain stitch. Originally manufactured in 1878 for making of straw hats. This model is virtually unobtainable these days a truly rare collectors item. The machine was only dusted with a cosmetics brush and lightly wiped down with a clean paper towel over
