A pair of Georgian silver shoe buckles. c1790. Maker GS.A pair of silver shoe buckles with pierced and cut frames. The maker's initials (GS) are stamped on the sides along with the lion assay mark but no date letter. The most likely maker is George Smith II who made small silver items around 1790 which were assayed in London. The silver frame and the steel chape prongs are in very good condition no damage or repair. 7 x 5. 5cm Height of the rise 3cm Stock no. LK32

A tooled leather book form emery cushion

It has some scratching on the face and as the winding crown is missing I can only assume it is no longer working and may not be repairable

The blade might be a little short as it doesn't fill the entire space for it in the handle but it doesn't look like it has been reshaped or damaged

The hall marks date them to 1901

An unusual shoe shaped desk letter clip with a Victorian diamond registration mark for 1872

The rimless thimble is decorated with a band of leaves simply engraved

Probably once fitted into a sewing box but have managed to stay together

An attractive pair of 18th century silver framed shoe buckles in their red leather case

The inside is lined in the old pink paper often seen in boxes of this period
