We also offer flat q switch blanks which didn't quite make it into lasers they are a bit flat but can be split in two or cut into more unique designs. Christmas garnet is one of our top materials. This type of YAG has had chromium added to the mix, the same element that gives green color to emeralds and red base

Normally lithium tantalate is colorless but this is a special formula with added magnesium which is used for wafers--the magnesium makes it tougher in addition to giving it this rich yellow-orange coloration
