SOLD……A patch work pin cushion. c1840-1860A pin cushion made up of squares of patterned silk probably old Victorian dress fabric. There are a few Lilliputian pins remaining but most have been removed over time. There is a good variety of scraps of silk which make an interesting insight into fashionable dress of the time. In excellent condition. 4 x 4 x 2. 5cm Stock no. KP48

A soft ox blood leather case with a chrome mount and decorated with an Egyptian winged motif

Four of the chains end in silver coins all with the date of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887

An attractive cloth needle case in the form of a book with white and gold bead work on a red cross stitched ground

The insole is card covered in a tartan cloth in shades of blue and red whereas the outer sole is pink

The black flecking indicative of bone can be seen quite clearly

It has its original spangle with square cut beads and is in excellent condition

The steel is marked with a wing and Time which was the logo of Samuel Pearson & Co Sheffield during the period 1856-1907
