The Eyrie Vineyards, The Eyrie Pinot NoirPale ruby, the 2018 Pinot Noir The Eyrie is a stunning wine with 10 15 years of aging potential. It has detailed scents of raspberries, blackberries, star anise, tangerine oil and violets, and it continues to unfold aromatically as it spends time in the glass. Delicately intense, it glides through the mouth like velvet, with seemingly endless flavor and nuance, and a finish that goes on and on.

This is a relatively robust Chambolle villages

There is excellent punch and detail to the middle weight flavors that are less muscular but even more harmonious with the same fine depth and length

The finish cascades on and on and on over your palate and just doesn’t want to stop

Stolichnaya wants them to continue doing the same thing

I suspect much of that has to do with the mid-weight structure of the wine itself

Chewy and impressively concentrated

It's a good example of how ports can change steadily and flip flop

I could imagine drinking this with food

The wine is restrained and elegant

Hattingley Valley's 2013 Brut Kings Cuvée is showing very well indeed
