Antique Moonstone beetle brooch, Ruby, Diamond and Garnet, 15ct gold, boxedA gorgeous antique, late Victorian 15ct gold beetle brooch. The insect is crafted from 15ct and silver and has a diamond set carapace with a garnet at the end. The centre is set with a beautiful Moonstone cabochon and the head is set with Ruby eyes. Set into 15ct yellow gold and silver and mounted onto a 15ct gold bar brooch, could also be used as a tie or cravat pin. The Victorian's began somewhat of an obsession with insect themed jewels from

some small nicks to the reverse of the beads
