Tallat MyceliumThe name Mycelium is the studios ode to the Japanese ceramic layering technique known as Nerikomi, a method long used in Tina Vaia Studios tabletop pieces and now translated into architectural scale tiles. The technique involves stacking layers of coloured clay, compressing and working them together, and then rolling the material into flat slabs. These slabs reveal organic, marbled patterns that are cut by hand into tiles and fired in the kiln. Though
