Joseph Marples Beech Carpenters MalletI enjoying hanging handles on axes and hammers. Having a decent wood mallet around the workshop means the temptation to strike wood with a metal hammer is much reduced. This is a traditional carpenters mallet. 30cm overall length and weighs 400grams. Often referred to a a 4. 5" head A simple tool, but extremely useful.

Everything kept leading to metal "Jerry" cans being the best option

The wooden handle is made from ash and replacements are available if ever required

The brush is made using Arenga - which is a fibre made from sugar palm

The first and only water repellent wax that doesn’t utilise paraffin

They are sometimes referred to a "star" fittings as they features a six pointed star shape designed to increase the surface area and reduce the likelihood of rounding the head

By Canadian standards these are rated as a "moderate warmth" glove which is down to - 5 celsius
