A nurse's chatelaine made using leather. c1900A rare find a chatelaine which would have been worn by a nurse. The clip, appendages and 'chains' are either leather or covered with leather so as not to disturb the patients. The attachments are gilt metal as is the top of the scent. This one has four pieces on it a notebook, a scent bottle, a pair of scissors with sheath plus a fob watch. The chatelaine clip is base metal covered in the olive green leather and with brown leather binding the edges.

This example has a row of beads on the rim and a simple leaf pattern above
