The embossing of flowers and fruit and the odd seashell is typical of the period circa 1830-1840

one end is labelled McPherson in the usual gold on black

It is in the typical style of Early Tunbridge Ware decorated with coloured bands and with small labels from the town in which they were bought or with inscriptions such as 'a Token of Love'

An emery cushion housed in a silver filigree basket dating to the first part of the 19th century circa 1800
