Each piece is removed from the kiln when it reaches a temperature of 1400 degrees Fahrenheit and immediately plunged into a pit of combustible sawdust. The resulting smoke and flame interact with the glaze creating shimmering metallic colors which enhance the gracefully drawn figures and plant
