Antique Japanese Military Manchukuo Unit Callsign Army Sake CupThis is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a helmet, and some cherry blossoms. One of the flags is that of Manchukuo. The words are "Victorious Return Commemoration" "Manchuria Dispatch Yamaguchi Unit". During operations units are commonly identified by their commanders' family names. Yamaguchi here is one such case. The soldier's name Bako is on the back. The words are "2nd Transport" and the soldier's name Wakui

but there were other occasions too

The words on the back of the cup are "Kanetani Village Branch 4th Platoon Flag Establishment Ceremony Commemoration"

and in the center

including place names like Beijing
