SOLD…….A Prisoner of War mutton/cow bone jackstraws set. c1900An oak case containing a game of jackstraws. The 45 gaming pieces are carved from mutton bone into various shapes including a bird and a trumpet plus a few are painted. These handmade sets were made by prisoners of war typically the Napoleonic and Boer wars. 19th century. In excellent condition. The case measures 5. 25 inches 13. 5cm The pieces roughly 4. 25 inches 11cm Stock no. KB15 NB. These hand made items were made from any available material
There are some fleabites on the edges - the most obvious being on the corner of the base (see last photo)
No damage and the pastes are all present
There is no damage to the pearl

In very good condition but with the usual light tarnish and some pitting to the steel
