A 19th century Grand Tour piece it depicts a finely done image of a floral display the tesserae set into a rich inky black glass which resembles black onyx. The floral display is beautiful with a wide array of colours, these Grand Tour pieces hailing from Italy were created for the tourist market but some fine examples also made it into the fine jewellery world and they were highly sought

This is an early Victorian rosary ring crafted in lush pinky toned rose gold with a slightly domed band with beading for the rosary and to the front an applied gold oval shield featuring a repousse cross decorated with light blue enamel

The brooch has an old C type clasp fastener and is fully hallmarked on the reverse for Chester 1899
