Turkish Agate SlabThis is a large slab of unique and beautiful agate from North Ankara, Turkey. I cut these thick at 3 8 thick so they are more durable than thin ones and easier to display. I have polished this on both sides and light does shine through it to show even more patterns if placed in a stand that lets backlight shine through. this is filled with a variety of agate formations including stick agate (pseudomorph), flower agate, banded agate and a solid crystal

The lever of preservation in this layer is outstanding and the Priscacara is over 12” long and the Diplomystus is over 4” long

A dendrite is a manganese or iron inclusion that were trapped inside the agate as it was formed

Now famous Fossil Lake during the Eocene period and is from the split fish or 12” layers that have more of a brown/red color

This is a very very large sphere at 5-3/4” and is fully polished
