The goblets were awarded for winning a singles and doubles squash racquets competition. Royds won the doubles with J. G. Lumsden. Admiral Sir Percy Molyneux Rawson Royds (1874 1955) was capped three tinmes for England as a rugby player. In 1916 he commanded the light cruiser HMS Bellona at the Battle of Jutland. For this action he was made a Companion of
