A Celtic Warriors Large Sword Scabbard End Chape.An absolutely fabulous and incredibly rare celtic warriors sword scabbard end chape. This item which dates to circa 200 BC 200 AD, is in excellent allover condition. It would have re enforced the end of the sword scabbard and stopped the blade passing through the leather. A Large piece which would have protected an even larger sword. Size 22. 5 CM in Length. Norfolk excavations in 1973. As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete
the panel just needs cutting to width size and hemming down the sides
covered by this lid
In true Victorian style this fabulous item can be worn as either a pendant or a brooch
