but it closes down to reveal a tart
all wrapped in an attractively textured
balanced and built-to-age finish
The terroir is iron-rich
Juxtaposed against the 1996 Haut-Batailley I find more energy in this
underbrush
this is aromatically completely different from the nose of the Clos des Forêts with a beautifully elegant and medium-toned nose suffused with highly spiced dark berry fruit liqueur
It’s normally a blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Syrah
