Vincent Girardin, Batard Montrachet(from the Chassagne side). This is even more restrained and mildly reduced but not so much as to completely overshadow the aromas of ripe citrus and white floral nuances. Once again there is excellent richness to the caressing yet overtly powerful broad shouldered flavors that arent massive though they certainly dont lack for substance, all wrapped in a lemony, palate coating and impressively long finish where a hint of wood slowly emerges. This was the first of the single-vineyard wines from Brovia released this year that I tasted in a flight meant to increase in intensity

This is quite good in its understated fashion

the palate grows in austerity

There is a hint of warmth but overall this is quite well-balanced and the length is remarkable

It soars to new heights of elegance and power
