SOLD…….A very fine, exuberantly embroidered silk needle book. 19thcA lovely black silk needle book embroidered with leaves and flowers in ribbon work, silk and chenille threads plus some bead work. The two halves are joined by a green silk ribbon and there are matching ties. The back cover is plain black silk but with a slight pattern in the weave. Inside it is lined in cream silk and fitted with edge stitched flannel for loose needles. In very good condition bar some moth holes in the flannel. 6. 5 cm in diameter 2.
