Tall Ornate Art Nouveau Solid Brass Door Knob Backplate #GA1037This is a Tall Ornate Art Nouveau Solid Brass Door Knob Backplate This backplate has a very unique and ornate design throughout. It's in great condition with no chips or cracks. The backplate measures 15 1 5" inches tall by 3 1 4" wide. The hole at the lower half of the plate is for a deadbolt lock. These are made of cast iron and were part of a fence/gate design

The entrance door does have front and back brass door knobs with rectangular back plates and mortice lock (no key)

The post measures 51 1/2" tall by 8" square

The top shelf has a center square cut out and tiered under trim

All hand carved with great details

The left side of the cabinet is tapered to a "V" and inside this space is storage shelving

This cabinet rests on Cabriole legs which have casters at the bottom for ease of movement

and 26" deep

There is a heavy duty off-white light covering where a wide based bulb sits at the top

The claw feet are painted white

which can be removed with a wire brush

The center firebox is 47 1/2" wide by 41" tall
