An unusual double bladed penknife. Rodgers cutler. 'Victoria Knife'.An unusual folding penknife with pearl sides and two steel blades in super condition. The cutler is named on one blade, the address on the other plus a star and a cross logo on the back of each. Mid 19thc. 'Rodgers Cutlers to Her Majesty No. 6 Norfolk Street Sheffield.' In addition one blade is inscribed 'Victoria Knife' which might indicate a commemorative piece. The address and logo was used throughout the 19th century but the absence of 'England'

The maker is uncertain as the only cutler a google search came up with is Joseph Jonas a Sheffield cutler and later Lord Mayor of Sheffield

There is a little brass suspension ring so it could be hung in a display

In excellent condition especially considering its age

The stiletto and button hook are 7cm long

It was used to shape nibs made from feather quills

The mirror is in good condition and swings

A mutton bone lace bobbin inscribed with the name 'Harriot'

The pearl is engraved with horizontal lines and has a blank silver nameplate

A blind filigree stiletto / awl with a steel point for piercing holes in fabric
