I like the underlying sense

The palate is big

pure and focused finish that delivers both excellent length as well as a seductive mouth feel

power and markedly firm finish

umami and dried strawberries with some rose stem

whereas the 2012 vintage is able to hide some of its ripeness within the general fleshiness and succulence of the fruit

Discreet but not invisible wood is present on the overtly floral-suffused nose that displays background hints of lemon rind and a phenolic character (think olive oil nuances)

depth and elegance and

Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot

intense and rich medium-bodied flavors are supported by bright acidity on the ever-so-slightly lean but highly persistent finish where the sense of minerality really builds as it sits on the palate

There is excellent intensity to the sleek but powerful and dense flavors that culminate in a bone-dry and slightly rustic finale that is supported by lemon-tinged acidity
