SOLD……..A framed diorama of miniature figures in a landscape. 19th century French.A small, framed diorama in an ebonized frame with a gilt metal inset. The scene is backed on to blue paper and the little figures, boat, house etc. are made from some form of worked and painted plaster work. They are cleverly done with a lot of detail and are layered to give a 3D effect. The glass is convex to allow for this. The frame measures 4. 5 inches square (12cm) The inner scene 3 inches (7cm) In excellent condition no loose bits. Stock no. JR11

In excellent condition- no dents or splits or repairs

The boxes are made of rosewood with inlaid Tunbridge roundels set into the lids which just pull off

The blade is the full length and still has a good action

An attractive cloth needle case in the form of a book with white and gold bead work on a red cross stitched ground

These are two small plaques which came with a lot of 19th century letter seals

5 cm and slightly convex but perfect for making into a brooch

The first printed page is titled 'The Royal Repository or Picturesque Pocket Diary' and in Roman numerals MDCCCVII / 1807
