SOLD…...A Georgian box wood and mutton bone tape measure. c 1800A rare Georgian boxwood tape measure with a domed mutton bone top and base. c 1800 1820The original silk ribbon was shredded so has been replaced with pink silk ribbon which has been ink stamped in inches. The end stop is from another early tape. The case itself is in excellent order. It would have been part of a fitted workbox with a set of wooden boxwood or mutton bone barrels. 2. 5 cm highbase diameter 18mmtop diameter 2 cmNB. The black flecking

There is a little brass suspension ring so it could be hung in a display

25cm high finger aperture 1

It is unmarked but the suspension ring is stamped 800

In excellent condition- no splits but it does have a slight finger pressure indent caused when opening it

They are quite sturdy and have suffered no damage other than some loss to the original varnished finish

Just one rust mark from an old pin

The chairs are padded with green velvet seats and the table has a matching velvet centre piece
