The clay used to make these beads is responsibly mined from the foot of Africa's second tallest mountain Mt. Kenya. The beads are handmade by our maker mums who roll and shape the clay by hand. The leather is highest quality full grain that is vegetable tanned using oak tree extracts and therefore does not use harmful chromium in the tanning process

The bead is then hand painted using ceramic colours then glazed in a kiln at between 800 to 1000 degree celcius to bring out the beautiful colours
